Today was another sleep in day, so I spent it watching lots of Star Trek. Believe it or not, I'm still occasionally finding episodes that are new to me. So that's fun.
I wasn't moving very quickly, so I grabbed a to-go box at lunch, and took it back to my desk to eat. Unfortunately, the box itself smelled of really bad body odor. I'm not exactly sure how that happens, but as it turns out it wasn't the people in front of me in line, as I had suspected. My food tasted less palatable and I got rid of the Styrofoam box as quickly as I could.
I was happy to get a letter from Grandma today (who thinks she's coming on vacation with Emili and me!), and I got cards from Lauren, Grandma Ruth, and Aunt Sheila and Uncle Kevin. Thank you all very much!
I also got 3 boxed PACKED with boxes of Girl Scout cookies!! Troop #2684 gathered many boxes of cookies, and with the help of Ms. Shari Biery, shipped them off to a poor soul in Kabul (smile). Thank you also to Cheryl and those in the USNA CS Department. I truly appreciate the gesture. If anyone wants anything from this part of the world, please speak up! I think generally scarves, blankets, scorpions, and tarantulas seem to be the indigenous products.
A few days ago, I received a package from Emili, but I was bound under a NDA. But today I can share what I received:
Extremely cute and I think they'll go perfectly on a Christmas tree!
